Happenings at the SnK: Feb. 7, 2018

Not a whole lot going on here, as we’re in the colder months. We did get a new tractor cover put up, but not much else exciting.

We’re waiting to have the windmill well looked into, as it’s stopped pumping water.

One of the neatest events, though, was the recent eclipse.

Selena shared the following on our Facebook page, January 31, 2018:

“Here at The SnK Wildlife Reserve the alarm went off at 5:40 am this morning, I wanted to see the eclipse! Yes, I’m strange like that, I enjoy viewing and hearing lots of Mother Nature’s wonders and creatures! What a sight to behold, lots of fog and nature sounds to enjoy along with seeing the first of two blue moons for 2018, the double halo and lunar eclipse were a bonus! Not only that but we could enjoy it on our own back porch and sit in the same porch swing that we enjoyed 37+ years ago when we first dated and watch and hear it all! AWESOME!”

It was. We don’t usually get up that early, but it was worth the site. Something else. Sure wish that I had a camera that would catch the event.

Oh well, at least we got to see it.

Today we’re “Enjoying” another cold windy day. At least we have the fireplace blazing. Almost didn’t have it put in when we built. Sure glad that we did.

Well, I think that it’s time to throw another log on the fire.

Until next time, Peace!
