I’m Keith, the K, in The SnK. My wife Selena, is the S. We used to be City Folk, but not since 2006.
The SnK is land that has been in the family since 1936, when my Grandfather Schindler started buying tracts in DeWitt County, Texas. I inherited the place in 1997, and my wife and I moved down form Denton, in 2006, after building the first house on the acreage. We continued leasing it for cattle grazing, as had my Dad, when he had control of it, but cattle got old, quick.
In 2011, Selena and I converted to a Wildlife management; writing up the plan and designating the place as The SnK Wildlife Reserve. It’s not official, but hey, we are reserving the place for wildlife. 🙂
So, where are we going with this? Well, Selena and I set up a another web site a few years back. Although it got off the ground, I never really pushed it, as it was a pain to work with. It wasn’t easy enough to hand over to Selena, and with other stuff going on, I let it drop.
With that, Selena and I are setting up this web site, in our efforts to continue our promotion of Wildlife Conservation. We’ll be sharing links to resources, posts about what’s going on at The SnK, as well as events that we’ll be attending, and anything that we think can help others help wildlife.
Hope you’ll come along for the ride and have some fun with us.
